Cover instructor responsibilities, HSE L117, PUWER and LOLER, and how accredited ITSSAR training is planned, delivered and recorded. You will learn the standards operators must meet and how to teach them clearly.
Develop practical demonstration skills on real equipment, including how to structure exercises, coach candidates, and run a two-course layout with up to six operators in a realistic warehouse environment.
Learn how to brief a class, adapt to different learning styles, give constructive feedback and keep sessions safe. Emphasis is placed on PPE, instructor guidance and maintaining focus during practical work.
Practice theory tests, practical assessments and the paperwork needed for ITSSAR registration. Successful instructors leave able to examine operators to the required standard and support candidates through certification.
Ensure you meet these prerequisites before applying for the instructor course.
