Overview

Practical health and safety for warehouse supervisors

IOSH Managing Safely in Birmingham is a four-day (32-hour) course for supervisors and managers who already work around lift trucks, plant or warehouse traffic. It does not replace forklift operator training. It sits alongside ITSSAR FLT certificates so shift leads can allocate authorised operators, challenge unsafe behaviour and investigate incidents.

Typical content includes legal responsibilities, hazard identification, risk assessment, measuring safety performance, safety culture and accident investigation. We also offer IOSH Safety, Health and Environment for Construction Site Managers where that pathway fits the role.

Warehouse sites often send newly promoted team leaders who still hold active operator tickets. Keep those tickets current with a refresher if the last assessment is outside the 3–5 year window, then add IOSH. The full argument is in IOSH Managing Safely for warehouse supervisors.

IOSH Managing Safely is £400. Delivered at Unit 8, Paper Mill Road, Birmingham, or on-site. Contact us to book or to combine IOSH with FLT training for the same team.
